Spanish Course Options in Mazatlan

Our Spanish programs is able to cater to all language levels regardless of previous language experience. There are set start dates that including course materials as well as a variety of extra options you can add onto your program to further enhance your courses.

All of our teachers are experienced native speakers and fully qualified to teach Spanish as a second language. The primary focus of our programs is to enhance your speaking, listening, grammar skills as well as your general comprehension skills.

In fact, our teachers often facilitate classroom discussions through role-playing and games as well as integrating current political, social and cultural materials to add interest and increase knowledge of the host country and culture. Accommodations in Mazatlan

Studying and living in a new country can be challenging, but with Languages Abroad we've already solved that problem for you! When you study in Spanish in Mazatlan you'll have the option to add on accommodations so that you won't have arrange them yourself.

There are two types of accommodation in Mazatlan, Host Family and Residence. With a host family you'll experience Spanish in a natural setting as you live with a pre-selected family! The residence is perfect for learning as well as you can have your own private room as well as the ability to mingle with other students there as well!

Host Family

Also called Homestay is where students live with a family in Mexico so that they can try out their new Spanish skills after class with native speakers! Many of our host families live in the surrounding neighbourhoods and the commute to the school is normally never more than a 15 - 20 minute walk. Students should have access to all areas of the house and in most cases they'll be sharing a bathroom.

Residence

Residences are located on campus or about 5-15 minutes away from the school and are shared with other international students. They're equipped with a TV, a kitchenette and a bathroom. Fans and WiFi are included.

After class in Mazatlán, enjoy the stunning beaches where you can swim, surf, or relax with friends. Stroll along the famous Malecón boardwalk, filled with vibrant art, food vendors, and scenic ocean views. Welcome to Mazatlan, a name that means "place of the deer" in Nahuatl, the language of indigenous people who pre-date the town's founding in 1531. More than a few centuries later it has evolved into a sprawling city with Spanish as its first language.

You'll find lots of traditional Spanish and Mexican culture here as a result since the the city is so old. In addition, the city has a large port for cruise ships and the city has evolved to cater to the ever growing number of tourists that come to visit.
